Accessibility statement

Last updated: 4 May 2026

Our commitment

Highstreet Sites is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive impairments. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

We apply the same standards to every site we build for our clients.

What we do

  • Use semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate the page correctly.
  • Provide meaningful alternative text for all informative images.
  • Ensure colour contrast meets a 4.5:1 ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Make all interactive elements reachable and operable with a keyboard, with visible focus states.
  • Associate every form field with a label and provide clear error messages.
  • Test pages with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA) before launch.
  • Avoid time-based interactions that cannot be paused or extended.
  • Use clear, plain language and a logical reading order.

We are not aware of any significant accessibility limitations on this site. If you encounter one, please tell us — see the section below.

Technical specifications

This site is built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and tested against modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and assistive technologies (VoiceOver, NVDA). It uses progressive enhancement so core content remains accessible if JavaScript is disabled.
